The NiUG International 2010 Annual Discovery
Conference will be held September 27-29, 2010 this year! What a
beautiful time of year to be in the Washington, DC area! The
National Harbor area is a perfect location for a conference and the
Gaylord is a phenomenal hotel! If you have never been to this
area, you need to experience it... it is a little conference town all
its own; with shops, restaurants and entertainment galore, all
within walking distance. And with DC and the Alexandria area
nearby, it's a perfect place to come in early and enjoy time with your
family while learning about some of the nations
historical monuments, the government and all that goes with
it!
NiUG offers one day of full and half
day training classes, followed by two full days of
general & breakout sessions, not to mention loads of networking
opportunities! Monday, September 27, 2010 we will again be holding
our full and half day training classes, offering a variety
of topics that will provide you with the knowledge you need
to bring back to your organization and utilize iMIS to its
fullest! In addition, Monday September 27, we will also be
holding an executive session this year, stay tuned for more information
on that as well! Not enough? You can also register to attend the
general user's group conference on Tuesday and Wednesday,
September 28 & 29. There are options
to register for a training class, and/or the conference
separately.
NOTE:
Even though iMIS 15 will be primarily used at the
conference during the demonstrations and training, iMIS 15 and iMIS 10.6
are pretty much the same except for some cosmetic differences. If you
are using iMIS 10.6 in your organization, this will not hinder your
learning experience at Discovery. Conference trainers and presenters
will also be more than happy to explain the differences, if any, in the
sessions that you choose to attend.
Conference Shirts: NiUG will try to order as many shirts as needed,
but please get your size into us with your registration as sometimes we
run out!
ACCOMODATIONS:
Accommodations can be made directly with
the Gaylord National by contacting the reservations
department at (301) 965-4000. Please use the code C-iUG10. NiUG has a
room block with the hotel under the name of "NiUG International 2010
Discovery Conference" and the room rate is $185/night plus tax
-- rate covers the $15 resort fee and you will also
enjoy in-room wired and wireless high-speed internet, fitness
center access, local and toll-free 800 telephone calls (20 minutes per
call) and a daily newspaper for the same $185 rate! This is more
than a 50% reduction in the going rate for the Gaylord Hotel during

TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE
AIRPORT:
Gaylord National is just a 15-minute drive from
Reagan National Airport (DCA) and within a 45-minute drive from
Dulles (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International
(BWI) Airports. Shuttle service and car service are available from
either airport to the hotel. Hertz is a Gaylord
Hotels preferred partner for car rentals.

Gaylord National offers an exclusive, express shuttle to and
from Reagan National Airport. This service will depart every
twenty minutes from Gaylord National's front door to Reagan
National Airport, and every twenty minutes from the
Reagan National Airport baggage claim. Reservations are recommended, but
tickets also will be available from the SuperShuttle desk, located on
the lower level of the airport, near baggage claim.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Conference cancellations must be communicated in writing on or
before September 17th, 2010 in order to receive a
refund (minus $50 administrative fee). If you wish to apply a
credit toward a future conference instead, there will be no
administrative costs taken off (you must attend another conference
within one year or your monies will be forfeited). Cancellations
received after the September 17th cut-off,
and no shows, will forfeit the full registration amount.
