In the good ol' days, you had full access to your database. If you needed to create a table with data about each state, FIPS codes for each county, or statistics for your members that allowed them to search as a benefit of membership from the members' site, you could do so. In the Brave New World of iMIS, you might not have direct SQL access. We will review best practices for creating 'system' data tables in the staff site and how to maintain them.

Business intelligence (BI) tools are types of application software that collect and process large amounts of unstructured data. BI tools provide a way of amassing data to find information primarily through queries. These tools also help prepare data for analysis so that you can create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. This session will show you how you can use some existing tools with your existing iMIS data to increase operational efficiency, identify market trends and even identify new business opportunities.

Your organization probably setup iMIS years ago - when the Internet and technology was not what it is today. So many of your configuration and setup options probably should be re-thought. And yes, you probably have different staff today that don't know the WHY behind why your iMIS was set up the way it was. This session takes a client that was set up 15 years ago and talks about how they might make changes to make their system ready for 2019 and the Cloud.
